city
I create my works by building on different layers, starting from the inherently layered structure of meaning and experience. In this series of works, however, I set out from my experiences in cities that I could not feel belonged to at any point, at any glance. I define 'city' as the spaces in which I stand but cannot be. Everyone needs to belong. Things like a familiar place, smell, texture, sound. All the cities I live in and use as a transit point have always made me feel like a foreigner. That's why, in this project, I set the concept of identification as a starting point for myself by looking at the 'city'.
